Russia Launches Massive Overnight Attack on Kyiv, Kill 4, Injure 30

Russian forces launched a “massive” attack on Kyiv, hitting the Ukrainian capital with strikes that killed at least four people and wounded around 30 others, Ukrainian officials said.

The attack, which included drone and missile strikes, targeted residential areas, causing widespread damage and fires throughout the city.

Kyiv’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that air defense systems were engaged across the city and urged residents to stay in shelters.

Casualties and Damage

• At least 4 people were killed, including 2 children, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, although another report by Kyiv’s military administration mentioned 3 deaths, including a child.

• Around 30 people were wounded, with 22 injuries reported by Mayor Klitschko, including 3 children.

• Residential buildings were heavily damaged, with a five-story building partly destroyed in the Darnytskyi district.

• Emergency crews are working at over 20 sites in the capital to address the aftermath of the attack.
