Sarsino, Oyo PDP Secretary, BGI, Others Present As Bibire Celebrates Christmas With Families, Friends, Political Associates, & Community Members

The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, popularly known as Sarsino, the Oyo State Secretary of the PDP, Hon Oyelami Joel, Hon BGI, and other dignitaries gathered at the Fagbenro family house in Adabeji on Friday to celebrate Christmas with Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire.

Polity Reporters gathered that the annual gathering, which holds every Boxing Day, is a special time Bibire uses to share the joy of the season with the people and also empower them in meaningful ways.

Speaking at the event, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire explained that the gathering is a continuation of his late father’s legacy of bringing people together during Christmas to share love, joy and to promote togetherness.

He explained that his father believed in unity and togetherness and taught him to always give back to the people.

In line with the essence of the day, Bibire empowered some youths who had been limited by the lack of phones with expensive smartphones to improve their productivity and pursue meaningful opportunities.

According to him, the empowerment was a pleasant surprise because the beneficiaries did not expect it, and it was his own way of lending a helping hand to them.

Bibire also called out coordinators manning different wards and empowered them with considerable cash gifts and substantial food items as appreciation for their loyalty, commitment and service.

In his message to the people, he advised everyone that loyalty may take time but it always brings rewards at the right moment.

He added that loyalty should be practiced as a personal value and not because of expected benefits.

Elderly people and widows were also supported with enough food items which were distributed by the Oluyole Local Government Chairman, Engr. Akeem Olatunji.

Speaking at the event, the number one citizen of Oluyole LG praised Hon Bibire for his consistent love for the people and his continued commitment to humanitarian service.

He also urged everyone present to continue to support Governor Seyi Makinde who he said has been working tirelessly for the growth, stability, and development of Oyo State.

In his remarks, the Oyo State PDP Secretary, Hon Oyelami Joel, appreciated Honourable Bibire for always creating time every year to bring people together to celebrate and empower them.

This was as he urged the people to continue giving their strong support to Bibire so that he can keep making positive impact in all his political and community engagements.

He also called on everyone to remain supportive of Governor Seyi Makinde as he continues his efforts to place Oyo State on the path of sustainable development.

The event featured games such as table tennis, golf, and other recreational activities, which added great excitement to the day.

Polity Reporters gathered that the golf game was done in memory of Bibire childhood friend, the late Tunji Adedire, whose passion for golf was second to none and widely known.

The games were actively played by Bibire, his political associates, respected personalities, and interested participants with cash rewards given to winners and everyone who participated.

There was also a dancing competition among children where King Solomon emerged first and Queen Esther came second.

Aside from the merriment that enveloped the day, the major development that defined the day was the large-scale empowerment which many continue to qualify as highly applaudable and “too much” for someone not holding any political office.

Those present at the celebration included political gladiators from Ibadan Southwest and Northwest Federal Constituency, Hon Olu Bello, the leader of the house and councillors of Ibadan Southwest Local Government, Hon Major, and many other distinguished personalities.
