See Names Of New Ministers Buhari Forwarded To Senate

The Nigerian Senate has received the executive communication containing the nomination of six names as replacements for ministers who resigned to run in the presidential election.

President Muhammadu Buhari stated in a letter read by Senate President Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan on Tuesday that the nominees would replace former ministers who resigned from his cabinet.

Rotimi Amaechi, Ogbonnaya Onu, Godswill Akpabio, and Emeka Nwajiuba, who all resigned to run for president, will not return, contrary to initial speculation.

The nominees are: Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh – Abia State, Umana Okon Umana – Akwa Ibom State, Egwumakama Joseph Nkama – Ebonyi State, Goodluck Nnana Opiah – Imo State, Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub – Kano State, Ademola Adewole Adegoroye – Ondo State, Odum Odih – Rivers State.
