Sterling On The Verge Of Joining Chelsea, Agrees Personal Terms

Raheem Sterling has accepted personal terms with Chelsea after officially telling Manchester City of his desire to depart.

According to Sportsmail, Sterling and his lawyer negotiated the parameters of a contract with Chelsea.

Sterling is expected to become the first headline signing under Chelsea’s new ownership, led by chairman Todd Boehly, with the two clubs negotiating a deal.

The Premier League champions gave the forward time to consider his next steps, and the relationship is ending amicably. Sterling has enjoyed the time to consider his options and is grateful for the transparency that all parties have agreed to.

Chelsea are expected to meet the valuation, which is understood to be roughly £55 million for a player in the final year of a £300,000-a-week contract.
