Team Goddybest’s New Director, Iyiola Abosede, Unveils Skill Acquisition Programme Plans

Iyiola Abosede, the recently appointed director of the Egalitarian Movement, Team Goddybest, has revealed the organization’s fresh approach to its skill acquisition programme, a distinguishing feature which has long set the movement apart from others.
In an exclusive interview with Polity Reporters on Friday evening, the new director shared that the incoming administration is committed to ensuring the sustainability of the skill acquisition program as the organization would be providing capital to motivate beneficiaries to start up their own ventures.
“In this new administration, we’ll try our possible best to make it more sustainable by introducing little capital to encourage willing persons to start up something,” he said.

Iyiola Abosede is the Director of the Egalitarian Movement, Team Goddybest. In this interview with a Polity Reporters correspondent, he provides further insights into the organization’s core values, vision and mission, his short and long term goals as director, and his strategies to achieving them with a view to creating a meaningful impact on the lives of the people.
The Team Goddybest New Excos
When asked to brief his background, Abosede stated, “I am Iyiola Abosede, a final-year undergraduate student of Mathematics at the University of Ibadan, and the newly appointed director of Team Goddybest, the Egalitarian movement.”
Speaking on what propelled his appointment as the Director of the organization, Abosede expressed, “My profound passion for charity and humanitarian activities motivated me to take up this role. Witnessing the positive change that can occur when individuals come together to help those in need has always inspired me to be a part. Also, the core values of egalitarianism align with my beliefs, and I am willing and committed to lead a team that strives to create a fair and equal world through our charitable work.”
He went on to describe the core values of Team Goddybest, stating, “Considering the fact that Team Goddybest is an egalitarian movement, our core values include; equality, compassion, and unwavering dedication. We believe in treating every individual with equal respect and providing assistance regardless of people’s backgrounds.”
Elaborating on the vision of the organization, he shared, “Our vision is to contribute significantly to creating a more equitable world through our continuous humanitarian activities.”
Discussing the mission of the organization, Abosede said, “Our mission is to create a more just and compassionate world through our charity activities. By upholding these values and pursuing our mission, I believe we can make positive impacts on the lives of people around us.”
Regarding his short-term goals for the organization, Abosede outlined, “My immediate priorities and goals as the new Director of Team Goddybest in the short term are to enhance our outreach efforts, strengthen our partnerships with other charitable organizations, and streamline our internal operations. This includes expanding our volunteer base, strengthening our online presence, increasing our fundraising efforts, and improving our project planning and execution. Overall, I aim to ensure that we can have a more significant impact on the communities we serve while upholding our core values of egalitarianism and humanitarianism.”
Expanding on his long-term plans, he emphasized, “My goal as Director for Team Goddybest is to further strengthen the team and make it a recognized and respected force for positive change in our region.”
Regarding upcoming projects, Abosede stated, “We intend to focus on empowering individuals of local communities to become self-reliant through our skills-training initiative, fostering a sense of self-sustainability.”
Highlighting the needs of the Association, he noted, “Financial contributions are crucial for funding our humanitarian initiatives. Their financial support will definitely impact our ability to carry out our planned initiatives. Individuals can also contribute their time and expertise by volunteering for our various activities to directly impact the communities we serve.”
Sharing the success stories of the organization so far, he said, “We’ve had lots of success stories. One of these that holds significant meaning for me is the last skill acquisition program we organised. Personally, I’ve witnessed the positive impact of this program as I know of 3-4 students who have embarked on promising careers in a particular skill field, thanks to their participation in the skill acquisition program. In this new administration, we’ll try our possible best to make it more sustainable by introducing little capital to encourage willing persons to start up something.”
Addressing challenges, Abosede acknowledged, “Limited access to resources is a significant challenge. Insufficient funding and resources occasionally hinder our ability to reach as many people as we would like. To address this, we will explore partnerships with like-minded organizations and seek opportunities to expand our reach and resources.”
In a final message to the public, Abosede encouraged participation, saying, “Join us in this mission. Together, we can make a difference, uplift those in need, and create a more equitable and egalitarian society.
