Yamal Equals Ronaldo’s Record

Seventeen-year old Barcelona star, Lamine Yamal has matched Cristiano Ronaldo’s La Liga title haul.

Yamal netted once and provided an assist as he led Hansi Flick’s side to La Liga’s title on Thursday evening.

It was Barcelona’s 28th league title which came after a 2-0 win over city rivals, Espanyol, capping a historic domestic treble.

Yamal would have also hoped to win the UEFA Champions League league title this season but that dream could not materialise following Barça’s semifinal exit.

Yamal’s display so far this season has now made him a leading contender for this year’s Ballon d’Or award.

This is Yamal’s second La Liga title with Barcelona, equaling Ronaldo, who won just that number in his entire stay at Real Madrid.
