Goals from Yamal and Fermin Lopez gave Barcelona a 2-0 win against Espanyol in the LaLiga.
The victory ensured the Blaugrana won this season’s title ahead of Real Madrid.
However, speaking after the game, Yamal named Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi as the best player ever in the game.
The Spain international, however, admitted that he can never compare himself with the Argentina captain.
“I’d never compare me with Messi… Leo is the best player ever,” Yamal was quoted by Fabrizio Romano as saying after the game.
Messi played 21 seasons for Barcelona before he finally left Camp Nou for Paris Saint-Germain in 2021.
The 37-year-old forward won a club-record 34 trophies, including ten La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues, among others during his time at the Catalan club.
