You Cannot Attract Good Things You Attack — Pastor Olufemi Olutayo-Salawu Warns

Pastor Olufemi Olutayo-Salawu has urged believers to put away envy and stop attacking the progress of others, warning that “you cannot attract the good things you attack.”

He issued this today, Wednesday while delivering a sermon on what makes one enjoy outstanding success during the weekly Eni Ba Dake prayer programme.

Polity Reporters reports that the two (2) hours prayer programme, which brings together a sea of worshippers from different Christian denominations and other faiths, holds every Wednesday at the CAC Revival Centre large and spacious auditorium in Kuola, Ibadan.

“Just as I have been stressing recently, let me repeat that every good thing you attack, you cannot attract,” Pastor Olutayo-Salawu said.

He explained that attacking another person’s progress springs from envy and jealousy, which he described as un-Christian and un-Christlike attitudes that rob people of their blessings.

The President of CAC Revival Centre worldwide went on to stress that no one, especially Christians, should speak ill of those who have been raised and blessed by God.

He supported this by reminding the congregation of God’s promise to Abraham, that He would bless those who bless him and curse those who curse him.

He also recalled the account of how God defended Daniel against every plot of his enemies, who envied his success and sought to bring him down.

The servant of God then advised all and sundry to rejoice with those God has lifted, pointing out that the more you rejoice with others, the more others will rejoice with you.

Polity Reporters reports that this advice (not to envy other people’s progress) stands as the second requisite to enjoying outstanding success, following his initial placement of staying connected to God at all times as the first requisite.

According to him, no one should boast in their hard work, expertise, or education, but should always acknowledge God as the true source of progress and success.

He concluded by saying that the third requisite for enjoying outstanding success will be relayed another day due to time constraints.
