Fagbenro-Bibire Congratulates Arapaja On Emergence As PDP National Secretary

Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Honourable Abayomi Fagbenro-Bibire has congratulated the immediate past Deputy National Chairman (South) of the PDP, Ambassador Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja on his emergence as the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Fagbenro Bibire, who was seen seated comfortably in the VIP section of the stadium, also relayed his congratulations to all the seasoned political minds who emerged from what many have described as the biggest party convention in Nigeria, conducted with admirable decorum.
This was contained in a congratulatory message he personally signed and released to Polity Reporters today, Sunday.
Polity Reporters reports that Arapaja, who previously served as the deputy governor of Oyo State, succeeds Anyanwu who was unanimously expelled by the party during the convention held yesterday.
Bibire, in the statement, said he is confident that Arapaja has everything needed to move the party to a higher level, noting that the former federal lawmaker is a seasoned politician who brings valuable experience to the office.
He stated that Arapaja’s emergence as National Secretary is a clear confirmation of his long standing dedication and unbending commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party.
The retired United States Navy veteran also praised Governor Seyi Makinde for hosting what many have described as the best national convention in the history of Nigeria.
He equally expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party for rising above distractions and making the important decision to go ahead with the convention.
He noted that the party has, with that, set an impressive example of internal democracy for other political parties in the country.
The leading House of Representatives aspirant for Ibadan Southwest and Northwest Federal Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party urged the newly elected leaders to focus on unifying the party and mobilizing greater support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
As a loyal party member, Bibire said he looks forward to a Peoples Democratic Party that becomes more united, more purposeful, and more prepared to win the confidence of Nigerians again at the national level and across the federation.
